Human Resources Manager

I grew up in a small town in western New York, whose claim to fame is the birthplace of JELLO, but spent my young adulthood all over the east coast – Atlanta, New York City, and finally Connecticut. I received my Associates Degree in Business Administration, but it wasn’t until my first office job as the receptionist that I truly began to understand where my calling was. As the receptionist in an insurance agency in Georgia, dealing with medical and life insurance, I began to take on extra tasks and was quickly promoted to office manager where I then managed payroll, benefits, and paid time off. I then moved to Manhattan and began work at a consulting group before moving to a boutique investment firm of consumer goods where I managed those tasks in addition to recruiting and onboarding. It became apparent that Human Resources is where I would land in my career, and I could not have been more excited to learn more.

After leaving a job at the investment firm due to the four-hour commute, I stayed at home with my two kids for a couple of years. I soon realized that as much as I loved being a mom, I was ready to go back to work but needed to find a position that I could be both a great mom and do a great job at work. I came across Holler Law Firm and the first thing I noticed was that there were so many women in leadership positions! This was a stark change from the other firms I worked for previously and once I met with Rosa Holler during my interview, I knew this was the place for me.

Since that interview in 2020, my position and job responsibilities have shifted slowly but surely in the direction of being completely in Human Resources. In early 2021, my family and I moved from Connecticut to Florida and my job title officially switched to Human Resources Generalist and I’ve loved (almost!) every minute of it.

In 2022, I was promoted to Human Resources Manager, and I could not have been more thrilled to take on the role. I thoroughly enjoy being able to interact with all of our employees in different departments, from production to client services and everywhere in between, while being able to make a difference in their lives. Two days are never the same – I am constantly being challenged and it keeps me on my toes!

In my spare time, I love enjoying the Florida weather (no more snow for me!) and spending time with my family and my dog, Rosie.
