MILFORD, CT, February 1, 2016 – Milford-based Holler Law Firm, LLC today announced it has been awarded a $300,000 loan and a $100,000 matching grant through the State of Connecticut’s Small Business Express Program (EXP) that will allow for the creation of eight new, high-paying jobs within the state. The firm represents buyers, sellers and borrowers in Connecticut real estate transactions, while also providing title insurance and escrow services.

“We could not be more excited as this grant will go a long way in allowing us to expand our operations and grow our already experienced team of professionals,” said George T. Holler, Esq., Principal, of Holler Law Firm. “We
have worked hard to build a reputation unparalleled in our industry when it comes to understanding and navigating Connecticut’s real estate laws. Our dedicated staff aims to eliminate the stress that comes with many real estate transactions, and we look forward to adding to that staff.”

In just this past year, Holler Law Firm has grown from seven to 17 total employees, and is poised for even greater growth. The firm – one of the largest title agencies in Connecticut for nearly two decades – uses the industry’s stateof-the-art ResWare software for business management, giving it a competitive advantage in the marketplace. With an industry in transition and moving rapidly toward consolidation, Holler Law Firm finds itself operating from a position of strength and is primed to expand its presence within the state.

“This is great news for the city of Milford and a terrific example of a publicprivate partnership that expands one firm’s operations while improving our local and state economies,” said Milford Mayor Benjamin G. Blake. “I would like to commend Holler Law Firm’s continued growth and reaffirm the City’s support for businesses that choose Milford and create jobs that put our residents to work.”

The Small Business Express Program is a state-funded financial assistance program offered by the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) designed to support small business growth.

“Our Small Business Express Program provides assistance to small businesses of all types that are creating good-paying jobs for the residents of our state,” said Catherine Smith, DECD commissioner. “We are not only working to
attract new companies, but to strengthen those like Holler Law Firm that already call Connecticut home and have demonstrated a commitment to add new jobs as they continue to grow. We are proud to be part of that growth.”
